Question Titanium STI key - will it fit classic?

Just got my car and need to have a spare key cut - seen the "titanium" genuine Subaru STI blanks and was wondering if anyone has used one on a classic before i lay out £20 on a key
thanks in advance

Excellent - looks quite chunky compared to the standard one. What's involved in "making it fit"?

Someone willing to cut the key, also maybe some soft grade sandpaper to get key to work perfectly. That is how I had mine done for my type r

Was told by two locksmiths it was the wrong blank went to a man I've known for years but a bit of a run. He took it into the shop came out five minutes later handed me the key and said there you go and walked off. Works perfectly

Thanks! Was expecting there to be something more than just getting it cut lol
It's an import so no worries with regards to the transponder

Was told similar as above that it was "wrong blank type" seemingly it's a flat edged blade where the original has a little "stopper" step at each end where the pattern stops. Same type as older Nissan keys.
Can be cut to pattern and works perfectly though - guy that cut it said he learned something new today as he wasn't aware that you could do that, everyone was a winner lol
I'm just happy I've got a spare key and a rather funky main key now
