W242 **Y Silver Turbo 2000 - Still around?
Hi all
Its been a long long while since I've been on here, but I'm curious to find out if my old car is still being driven by someone on here.
I sold it to a guy in Leeds who kept if for around 5 or 6 years (Andy) but I know he has now sold it.
It was a Silver Turbo 2000 00MY saloon, with Prodrive handling pack (wheels, suspension etc).
I can see from the DVLA site that its currently taxed and insured etc.
Cheers
Matt

I bought the car from Andy who lived in rothwell Leeds.
I only live about 20miles from him and I kept it for a year, selling it in 2007 to start my business
Was my first Subaru at 20 years old, was a pretty nice car really. Had the Bilstein suspension on it which was a nice touch. I went to the Mcrea gathering in it.
If you want to know more please feel free to message me, had quite a few classics since then, some nice ones too, but RUY will always be pretty special to me being my first one, especially at a time when I was so young and imprezas were still classed as cool cars

That's the one, you even had the fog light covers on it still that I sourced and had sprayed.
I spent a fortune on messing with that car in the 2 years I owned it, nothing in regards to mechanical failure, but an Ecutek remap, Ecutek data monitor etc.
I had it from early 2003 to early 2005.
I remember Andy turning up to view it. He was happy to buy it, just looking at in my garage, in fact I had to persuade him to go out for test drive in it. Which he obviously loved.
I've owned plenty of cars before, and since, but the classic Scoobie had real soul and at the time, a superb owners community, which just added to the overall ownership joy.
It's never been repeated with any of the cars I've had since.
I wonder if its still as cherished now, 10 years on since I last sold it.
I keep thinking I'd love to get it back.
I've got a cracking picture of it on the wall in my garage, which I cant upload currently as i'm at work.
