Default Thoughts on this Wagon WRX?

I'm looking at returning to the Subaru fold soon and am after a nice, well modded wagon.

This one has recently popped up on eBay, what are members thought

Bit too much done to it for my liking. If it all checks out just be aware that that would be cheap for a standard car that has done that mileage.

Perhaps the price reflects that the buyer group will be more smaller due to the mods.

If you haven't driven a standard wagon or one gently modded or PPP'd, I recommend you do before you buy the one in question.

Gives you a starting point.

I'd have to agree with the sentiments above, a little too close to the limits for my liking, but hey some get away with it and it's not my money.

That car is for sale I think on the Subaru Wagon owners group on facebook. Some more info on there... but the owner seems like a good lad.

Looking at the pictures it looks well maintained in a nice drive and house, but 350 in a WRX I'd be happier at 320.

True, providing all the work is done well though, shouldn't be a prob. That turbo is more than good for the amount and it has a decent clutch fitted.

Duncan knows what he's doing too. You could always down map it!

I'm running 360bhp on my wagon with no problems at all. As long as you dont drive like a dick all the time then you shouldn't have any problems. just be aware that any wrx on 300+ is on borrowed time for both engine and box.

Im going forged build on mine over winter as its going into the 500 club for next year.

If I was in the market I'd definitely have a look.
Good price for that.
Only thing that puts me off is its a bug.

The brakes would worry me.

I have had 2 wagons - a 56 Hawkeye with 285/345 and the current 55 Blob with 330/325.

The hawk used to put the ****s up me sometimes with the standard brakes big time.

My current blob has Brembos up front and they are so so much better.

I have looked at the pics and they are standard calipers sprayed gold aren't they? Mentioned in advert standard brakes.

If I did go for it I'd probably reduced the map to closer 300.

Looks a nice car and still has not sold.

With the age I would be cautious about the arches to start bubbling with rust soon - mine started to go on my Bug Wagon at the start of this year. Just another cost you might need to factor in ...
