Was just about to buy a high mileage 03 wrx 158k! Car seemed good and solid, no unwanted noise smoke etc, was just about to hand over the cash & checked the dipstick to find not a drop of oil on it! I mean the car had just been running but the dipstick was completely dry! Decided to walk away!

I had the same experience and walked away. Sign of bad maintenance which could cause future issues e.g. car might be burning oil.

I nearly had a blob wrx last year that was on 130k miles. Car is mint he said on phone no knocks or bangs he said.im a mechanic by trade he said. Viewed it and as soon as i bliped throttle and was clear bottom end had gone. Must of just happen as i never noticed before he said. Glad i waited nearly 6months later till i found blob i have now. Car is still forsale on that swapz site now claiming to have had rebuild and if doesnt sell this weekend he will keep. Must be long weekends in stoke cause its relisted week after week lol

Strangely price adjusted today! Was advertised for £2700 when I viewed it sat & he wouldn't go any lower than £2350 http://www.gumtree.com/p/subaru/53-plate-blue-subaru-impreza-wrx-uk-car/1122705884
