BANZAI MAGAZINE SHOOTOUT FOR SCOTS
#1
This is to gauge how many people would be up for a japanese 4wd rolling road shootout for banzai magazine as they want to know by the end of the week.
The Venue is to be AVA in Glasgow on Sunday the 17th of June. All 4wd japanese machinary is welcome and you'll get a chance to get your mugs in a mag!
The 4wd rollers are new with features that no rolling road in the country has including and an extraction system that is unreal so lots of cold air for your power and much more comparable runs than other places. Also no risk of getting gassed to death if you are there to enjoy the whole day. They also incorporate the larger 20inch rollers making traction no bother to the super high powered cars and the mag is working to get some very special machinary there that would not usually be able to be run up. They never even sweated when faced with mikes 400bhp@ wheels 2wd, no people needed in the back etc
Also could you direct me to any other boards that may be interested such as Evos,gtiRs,GT4s and skylines etc.....
Cheers for the help

I'd be interested in going - do I need to book a place? Or who do I see about putting my name down? Is it going to cost anything?
Mail me back on my own e-mail address with all the details thanks.
Cheers

Cost isnt decided until the mag say what they are doing - if they dont contibute then it will be £25/30 or less depending on contibution.
Need to see the numbers first then we will see about booking
Should be a good day - the RS shootout on Saturday was brilliant and everyone had a great time

Unfortunately there doesnt seem to be much interest off of here - probably everyone is rollingroaded out for the summer and want to enjoy their cars - can understand that!
Martin
Ps - made a booboo on the date - Sunday 17th of June - sorry.

Martin,
17th June isn't a very good choice of dates, which could explain the lack of interest so far.
a) It's Fathers Day
b) We are out at Alford for the first of our annual visits.
c) Crail is on at the same day
d) I think the Central RS Owners are having their annual show at Strathclyde Park, and they have invited lots of car clibs along.

OK - date has been decided as Saturday 16th June.
Runs will cost £25/30 unless mag contribute (dont know yet)
Day will kick off at 9AM
Directions -
from the M8 heading from glasgow towards glasgow airport. pass the turn off for the airport( Juntion28)and the next one that goes off to the left(Junction 28A). Take the next turn off (Junction 29 marked to paisley)that will take you up to a large roundabout that is over the motorway. Take the 4th exit on the roundabout (A726 marked Erskine/inchinan) then follow the road round the perimiter fence of the airport. Once quite a bit round there is a road to the right that keeps following the fence - take it and ava are the first buildings up on the left. Signposted AVA/st james's coachwork/east yonderton farm.

Just to give you an idea of the setup - note the size of the rollers - held this uprated skyline nah bother today
Just add your name if you want to be included in the shootout
