Classic 4 door drivers seat weight??
As per the title guys, I'm after finding out the exact weight of a classic 4 door drivers seat inc sub frame and adjuster. Literally the full assembley?
Does anyone know this? Or even better if someone had one to hand could they weigh it?
Thanks
Joe

There are a few weights here if you need them: http://www.type-ra.com/subaru-forum/...t-guide.14549/

A Type R driver's seat weighs 19kg, so I'd guess a 4 door would be very similar.

Yes, but you have to factor in the rails/mounts too. As the weight of the seat shown here is including the base which is about 4.5kg.
The base also includes the seat belt clip which is probably another 500g.
Also if you fit bucket type seats you shouldn't be using OE seat belts as they won't function in an accident. So you need harness' which need to be 5 or 6 point if you actually want to survive an accident (four point are for show only). Then if you are strapped into 5 or 6 points you really need a head/neck restraint to avoid neck injury due to the lack of give in the harness' also you are held bolt upright so really to be safe with harness' you need a rollcage or your spine will take the cars weight if you roll with one. Then of course roll cages are very dangerous without helmets.... It's all or nothing.
Or course if you get light weight seats designed for OE seat belts the above doesn't apply.
Yeah you can mix and match if you like. But not if you actually want to be safe in an accident. Bit off topic but worth thinking about.
