Default Buying a 2nd hand turbo to hybridise

What condition does a donor turbo need to be in if I am getting it hybridised? Can I buy a cheap one with shaft play, or is that a sign of further hidden damage? Thanks

Anyone ? It would be a lot cheaper to buy one with some shaft play.
