thats kind of what i thought , and if the engine was coming out it would be silly not to have it rebuilt .

i need to stick to my plan of doing it as best i can myself

i wonder how hard it would be to strip everything out the engine bay myself and leave the engine

If you want I send you a PM with the contact for Jamie Felus. He is in London, and will do you a great price.

No where near the 4k believe me.

Also he is great to do custom jobs. right now he is painting my car to which he fitted a fully "working" 22b kit. What i mean here, all the doors, door handles, fuel cap filler, all been put back as a standard car would have. People see the bulged up body but it takes them a while to realise what's happening because everything was done to same standard as a factory car! Lines, gaps, etc all just perfect.

He is in Honchurch .

Might be worth getting in touch with CupraJake on here(https://www.scoobynet.com/member.php?u=63798) Painted my previous scoob and my dads scoob and done plenty of cars on here too and highly recommended(just do a search)

He is based in Rochdale but worth the trip down if your going to spend a few ££££ as you want it done right and not done because its convenient as its close to your house, I did a 3 hour drive to drop my car off to be painted!!!

thanks for the recomendations but if i do get it painted i'll find someone closer ,

i was really just curious on what it costs
