I've decided that even a Bug STi wagon can't temp me away from my Blob wagon ATM, but was looking through the pics of the one at Hursts, appears to have Blob/Hawk front seats fitted instead of the original Bug versions, shame as I prefer the originals, first thing I would change if I was interested, also noticed on the original dockside pics that it had coilovers which aren't mentioned in the (very poor) description, another negative for me unless they are very very good ones.

Well I spotted it when it was tucked away so the owner was a little shady about it but from what I could see it was a tidy jdm car my suggestion would be to call the boys up if your flashing money and seriously interested I'm sure they will tell you everything
Other than the dented panel which is being replaced it looked pretty stock well from what I could tell

A few years ago I saw a Blob wagon being driven by a lady in Halifax which looked EXACTLY like an STi (was an 04 reg I think). It was parked at a petrol station and I was 100% sure it was a genuine blob STi wagon but obviously not!
Interior / Exterior was as per STi's with bodykit, Black and Blue interior etc.etc..
Eitherway it looked nice and was one heck of a look-a-like.

Probably cheaper to build one, than source & ship one from Japan. Won't hold it's value as well of course.
Although I guess, unless you plan to mod the STi wagon, a WRX with remap, nice suspension and brakes will give you 95% of the performance (minus an extra cog to swap). They don't come with DCCD I presume?
I did look for one originally and couldn't work out why they didn't produce Blob/Hawk wagons - surely couldn't have cost much more to produce. A bit like when BMW stopped making the M5 Wagon for the E39 (or no M3 wagons at all) - its not even as if THEY had a racing pedigree/heritage to preserve.

Yep, definitely needs the rears doing ZX-TT, looks a little bit like a Ford Blazer in reverse otherwise. You not had them completed yet? How do the ABW arches differ from the HT Autos ones? The fuel filler cap design really spoils the HT Autos ones.

I went to see the white one at Hurst`s yesterday; it seems mechanically sound, but was not the one for me. It has a new wing, poorly matched in colour, and the seats have been replaced with uk ones as there was a recaro in there. The seat rails were heavily corroded, and it didn't look like it had been pampered in its life, although it did have a rear strut brace, some sti pink suspension, and coilovers. The front discs have quite a lip on them. It made me appreciate my 05 SL wagon interior more.
However, my journey took me from near Southampton to Caterham, then up to Hurst in Bedford, then back to Southampton, and I managed 367 miles on a tank full, brim to red light, 70 to 80 mph, except M3 50 limit. I had already done 30 miles or so locally before the journey....bet a Sti can`t do that !!

That's a shame although give me a year with it and I'd have it looking like new! I've spent ages getting my 05 SL wagon looking factory fresh and love how it looks and drives now (with genuine PPP kit fitted and PCL dynamics (Prodrive) springs and a few extra bits!) so would have to start all over again if I changed now, I like doing it all mind, but am going to enjoy my blob wagon for as long as I can before getting itchy feet again...
