Folding mirror on MY 08 hatch not working -any ideas?
I've done a search for the above but im getting very little info. Here and on Google.
When I press the button the drivers side operates as it should, however the passenger side doesn't move. I can hear the motor engage but then it stops before the mirror moves. Are there some limit switches in there that might be sticking? I'm not sure how to get it apart to check and don't want to damage it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is the mirror correctly locked in the open position, by that I mean have you checked it is in the correct position when open & doesn't flop about. It will make a loud crack when it engages. I think if it isn't locked in position the folding mechanism won't work. There's not much to them, but I hope it's not the gearbox that's faulty because they are eyewateringly expensive! It cost me £250 for a glass, painted cover and the LED lamp unit when some idiot hit mine.

There was a link on here somewhere for the workshop manual, I'll see if I can dig it up for you.

Thanks for the reply it'd be great if you could find the manual. I've checked the mirror and it's definitely clicked into place. If it's the gearbox it can stay as it is for £250!
