I am looking into doing a 6speed conversion on my version 2 gc8?

How can I tell the difference between the jap short ratio box and the uk one?

What is the best way to do the conversion to cope with 400-500bhp, like what is the best diff to get etc I want to run the non dccd jap box by the way

The gearbox code will tell you. Someone on here will have the codes, they are on my computer in the UK, sorry.

Get all the parts, inc drive shafts, it all goes straight on.

JDM codes start TY856WB and UK are TY856WN

I would try matty b at mb developments regarding buying the complete conversion package

try japperformanceparts in Crawley, I got my JDM 6 speed conversion from them. I paid over the odds but got everything I needed from them which helps when things don't go quite as planned. They have a reliable reputation.
