Default Hawkeye Spec C on copart ends tomorrow

http://ww2.copart.co.uk/uk/Lot/35245...hId=1445607600

I spotted this jdm hawkeye spec c on copart. Be quick as the auction goes live Monday at 12pm.

I actually viewed this personally and started the engine etc. There is a service book in there (will probably disappear though) but I took a picture of it and also the vin tag.

I was going to keep it quiet but I've changed my mind so I'm out. The body damage is bad though, so be prepared for a lot of work to get this on the road again.

If anyone buys it, I'll give £500 for the wheels

Would it fetch £5600 being broken for parts?

This won't sell for £5600. It will go for a lot more when the auction goes live.

This will probably go to a breakers. All the high dollar items look in good order. If going back on the road, I would re shell it.

I estimate the reserve to be at least £7500, probably more.

The engine sounds good though. Coolant and oil was full when I checked it. Just a minor exhaust blow from the front somewhere. Oh I noticed the bonnet has a gouge out of it and wants painting. I couldn't drive it to see if the gearbox works though. Nice set of defi's in there too.

I honestly don't see how this is worth £7500 in parts.

Assuming ~4k for engine and gearbox, £500 for wheels, £500 for interior, a few hundred for the recoverable body parts and a few hundred for the front struts and other ancillaries, what else is left?

That's £6k max worth of parts at a push IMHO or am I missing something?

Ok. My rough guess

3k for a jdm close ratio dccd 6 speed gearbox setup
2.5k for engine inlet and turbo split up
1k complete hawkeye front end
650 brakes
500 wheels
250 defis
750 spec c black interior
200 roof vent and headlining
250 intercooler spray bottle and setup
300 tailgate and spoiler

still leaves a lot. like the thinner glass, exhaust, rear lights, shell with id, suspension, mirrors, passenger doors, instrument cluster, ecu, loom etc

I reckon this will break for close to 10k

£750 for a Spec C interior??? Think your looking at about £400

i think you're way off, having bought a lot of spec c parts for my own car i can tell you the interior is never worth £750.
on the other hand the roof vent is worth way more as newage ones are rare
also defis are worth more like £400
id recheck your pricing on gearbox and engine too.

Nice find. If anyone buys I'd be interested in the door cards.

It was a rough guess without researching that far. The numbers will add up though (for a reputable breaker at least)

Anyone putting this back on the road though will be doing it for the love not the money.

Having seen this car. It would take someone who is thoughtful and careful to save the passenger door cards and glass. Those doors can't be opened any more!

Ouch, sad to hear that. I already have those door cards but my drivers side one (your passenger side) is scuffed pretty good.

This sold for £8300 plus auction fees. By the time you factor in recovery etc. This is getting on for £9000
