Default oil service ?????

just doing a oil and filter change in the spec c,
using millers cfs 10/50 nano drive
and genuine filter
the service book is fully stamped up to date from day one

shall I write in the service book my self , saying self service or just keep the receipt with a log of the miles etc

as don't want to spoil the fsh ??????

I'll take it to my subaru machanic for a major service when due ,
but don't agree with the £120+ for a oil change ,
when I'm more the capable of doing it my self for £65 worth of parts

Just keep receipts for all parts and mark down mileage. Let dealer stamp book.

I just write it myself in the book and keep the receipts. It's an everyday car for me anyway that I will keep for at least 5 years, so dealer stamps are just not that important. Personally, I actually prefer to buy cars that have been serviced by the owner (with proof) as they are more likely to fix things when they need doing, rather than waiting until the next service.

I think on an older car with a few miles it's okay, but tbh it's one of the reasons I pulled back from buying a late hawkeye Spec C.

I was looking at cars with 10-20k miles with immaculate dealer/name specialist histories and knew that I'd need to keep that up for a while. And that I would have to fight the urge to mod.

the spec c is a 2003 car with 58k and 18 service stamps
, I'll just write it in the book and keep receipts as proof
least that way I know my self when it was last done etc etc

I always write it in the service book and then staple the receipts to the page.
