finding an sti
Hi All
Just wondering how long did it take for you guys to find your impreza sti. It took me almost a year to find my previous widetrack hoever as I am on the search again, feels like its taking forever.
Looking for a low mileage blue or black with very little mods.

That car got hit in the rear written off.
I started searching, travelled several hundred miles to view and test drive, found the one I own now (a 98STI) 7 miles from home on the day the seller posted the advert. Test drove it, put deposit down (was still waiting for my cheque from the insurer), had it on my own drive a week later. All in I was hunting for about 4 days.
I see other people hunt around for months, so I know I was lucky to find my car so quickly, and locally! Just keep looking, you'll get there

All in for me on my second and current Impreza two years !!
I brought my first one brand new in 2005 and sold it in 2009 and regretted
it the moment it drove away. Always said I would get another hopefully as a second car.
I got the real urge to get one in the spring / summer of 2012, I was working for BMW in Munich and decided I wanted one and started looking.
At first it was only on the web for an idea of prices / age / spec until I was back in the UK, then looked at a few once back and stepped up the search but didn't find the right one. Couldn't make my mind up on a JDM or UK car, wanted white or black blobeye widetrack so search was narrowed right down.
Then with work and having a new bathroom funds went elsewhere for a while until I saw the one I have now in March 2014 and finally got hold of it in May last year.
pretty much ticked all the boxes but definitely ticked the right ones.
2005, Euro Import, Widetrack STI, Black, 32K Miles, Very good condition, Not over modified.
Very happy owner

9 months to find 25k mile widetrack.
Was not looking for that low miles but when it came up the race was on to get there first.
So be prepared to move very fast when a good car comes up.
