Default 2014 WRX STI

Whats your opinions on the current WRX STI? Currently driving a Focus ST, which is fun, but I miss AWD. I have the cash to buy the new RS, but seeing as no one knows the specs, I am looking at alternatives and I have always wanted an Impreza What are they like on servicing and running costs? I only have a 30 mile commute and already spending £60-100 per week on fuel running the ST, would the STI be better or worse?

As Trinity said use the search, i own one, great car and a hoot to drive, if you're worried about MPG though you're looking at the wrong cars. STi is 22mpg around town and 25-28 on a longer run.

If and when I replace my JDM Blob I'm toying with the idea of a new Impreza Sti (it's an Impreza!). However for similar money there's the likes of the C63 and BMW M3 albeit used. There's also the BMW 550i. The 2.5 puts me off and all the other options offer more luxury and performance. However the STI is something I know and love.

Theres talk of it being 4wd. Ken Block has been seen driving a pre production model with 4wd, the new Mustang comes with 4wd (i think) which it shears the same engine with and the Mondeo is coming with 4wd next year.

If thats true, that would finally make the RS a contender as a great performance car. Be interesting to see.

That was Ken blocks custom built mustang running 840bhp I think 4WD, the new Mustang production is still 2wd

I'm aware of Kens custom Mustang. There is talk of a awd Mustang production car but not seen anything too convincing just yet, maybe Google could set that one straight. (I did say i think though )

Here's a link for the new RS with awd, still not 100%.

Yeah there is strong rumor its 4wd, There was a teaser video that Ford released with a Focus in camouflage showing it going round a long bend in the wet at some speed and it seemed to grip very well. But all details of the upcoming Focus RS will be on Tuesday 3rd Feb!!

Fingers crossed its 4wd, and all we need then is Cosworth to start doing some bits for it, and then Ford releasing a Focus RS Cosworth in a few years

And now a Fiesta RS also rumoured to be AWD. Gets more interesting.

Hell imagine that 300bhp with AWD in a fiesta, would be a fun car!
