Default Sti widetrack only 2.0 turbo engine?

I've seen a few people listing WRX Imprez's as 2.0 turbo models

I thought the sti widetrack was the only newage impreza after 2005 models to have a 2.0 turbo engine?

If they are correct is this engine any good? And is it import model?

Eh?
They are all 2.0 turbo models, albeit some with better blocks than others coupled with different heads.
But they are all 2.0 turbos from 1992/3 upto 2005/6 then 2.5 turbos.

Forget the year because cars can be late registered etc.

All UK models upto and including the blob are 2.0. The hawk and beyond are 2.5. Widetrack or narrow track or whatever makes no difference.
JDM of all ages is 2.0.

Not one in that link says a WRX is 261bhp.

Read them again.

All jdm inc hawk/hatch are 2.0.

The pre 2004 wrx I think are 215hp then the later wrx is 225hp.

300uk is just a wrx with some different wheel, spoiler and seats iirc

Remember that the UK300 and WRX 300 are two different cars.

The UK300 is just a WRX in a pretty dress whereas the later WRX300 came with the PPP from the factory as well as a pretty dress.

As my post above, the WRX 300 came with the PPP from factory, hence the increased power over a run of the mill WRX.
Normal WRX of the same age was 225 bhp iirc.

Right so if i got a a UK300 and added ppp ecu sports cat etc would then turn out same power?

I've seen a few WRX's but the sellers are listing them as 221bhp, and theres no way i'm buying a heavier car than the classic with 221bhp. I was have fiat 500's overtaking me

A bugeye wrx has 215
A blob wrx 221
A hawkeye wrx 227

A wrx 300 is basically a wrx with PPP and 261bhp, the same as a standard blob sti. It has slightly more torque than an sti, is around the same weight as an average sized man lighter than an sti and different gearing so a little quicker to 60.

A uk 300 is based on the bug, and I could be wrong but I think they are around 10 brake less than a blob when the PPP kit is fitted (I think classic turbo with PPP is 241)
