hello peeps got my 1998 s reg turbo wagon uk and the speakers are to say the least S.... want to change them but dont want a amp drawing power or the weight of a sub so has any of you guys changed the front and rear door speakers ? what did you get what are the sizes looking for a nice bit of base and clear sound

I measured my speakers and went to eBay. I think mine were 3.5" in the front doors.

Bought a set of pioneer ts somethings and then a pair of infinity 6x9's for the rear parcel shelf.

Didn't bother changing any wires before testing them and it sounded great. The front speakers were about £18 and the 6x9s about £28. Sounds great now and cost next to nothing.

IIRC both fronts and rears are 13cm. OE.

You can get 16.5cm to fit in thew front with spacers which are invisible when the doorcard is back, and 6x9's in the rear as you say...but in a wagon? Not sure abt that......

Are you trying to shave .00001 sec of your 0-60 time?
