Default what to do. fix to sell, sell or break (Now selling 4k)

Hey guys havent been on here for a while but thought this is the best place to ask for some advice i need. Due to moving house it was soon going to be time for the sale of my beloved blob eye sti. Unfortunately a couple of weeks ago, well your see from the photos. Basically i need a bottom arm. New bonnet. New bumper. New ns wing and new ns headlight also the inner wing. Ive been quoted by a trusted mechanic £1000+ parts. That covers all new parts to be resprayed and then blended in. My question is is it worth fixing it to sell or should i sell as it is or break. Trouble with breaking is with my workload i dont have the time so would have to pay someone to do it. About the car. Its a 2003 plate blob sti with the prodrive pack its done 52000 miles and is in good condition apart from the above. Cambelt does need doing which was planned todo with a service before i sold. Whats your thoughts??

Many thanks

Ross

Break it or sell it on. What it will cost to repair will be a waste. Not many people want a damaged car so value will be down.

depends if its written off or not, if you would like to pm me i may be interested in buying it off you and repairing it myself. getting someone else to break it would dramatically decrease the money you get from it

Get the parts second hand, most can be done by yourself too. If it cost more than 500 for parts, Id be amazed.

Ive been looking. Struggling to find the parts. I had planned to sell back in summer but as it was a reluctant sale thought id wait for as long as i could. Gutted i didnt sell her now. Basically im down to damage limitation. I have had a few pm's from people interested in her as she is but now need to do a bit of research into a ball park figure. I had planned to sell in summer for 6.5 (put up for 7) which fitted in with what was available on autotrader at that time. But now with the damage its a different kettle of fish. to be honest didnt think id get the interest i have and now wondering whether ebay would be the best bet unless i get a good ofter. Will have a hunt for guide price so to speak and pm all those who have pmed me first tho but wont be tonight .

Thanks for all yout advice guys. Much apreciated.

Ross

Drives fine. Not even scraping on wing only thing that goes against driving long distance in it is no ns lights and damage makes in unroadworthy.

Think you will struggle getting that bud. I'd fix it yourself, doesn't look too bad. Can't seeing parts being that pricey, give Matty the colour code and see if he got parts in stock

i know it would be a great shame to brake, but unfortunately im stuck between a rock and hard place. new house for the family ment car had to go. i stupidly but understandbly held of selling it, i even had the add written but got cold feet at the last moment and thought another 6 months will be alright, and now this is where i am, a busted car that whatever i do with needs to be gone by of aprill. (when we move in).

by all means if you want to fix and have 4.5kono let me know ;p

i do love the car to pieces but the time came for me to put the cars aside and concentrate on the house, just bloody unfortunate it had to end like this.

i will be back one day tho that being said probably wont be till the kids have grown up and moved out tho lol

thanks for all the advice

Been thinking about getting a blob with front end damage as was going to do Hawkeye conversion. This would have been perfect, but just to far away very annoying

I would be interested, but i'd need to see the car first to make sure its structurally ok.

I'd pop in on gay bay for 4k
