New RS (i know its in wrong section)
So Ford have finally officialy announced what has been widely expected with confirmation that the new RS wil be a Focus built car. With fugures already being branded around of a 350bhp figure what do people think this will do to the Subaru/ Evo brand? The last focus proved what could be done with a FWD car where do we think that 6 years down the line it could possibly kill off the Scooby. Controversial i know and dont get me wrong i loved mine, but Ford do know how to make a fast car that holds it value because of those two letters RS...... Thoughts please

One of the things most seem to be concerned about is theres no 3 door version.
Will no doubt be a good car, whether it will be great we'll have to wait and see. I am also wondering what effect it will have on 2nd hand prices of the MKIl, could see a bit of a drop.

Who gives a flying gewk about the new Focus? Subaru, Mitsubishi and Ford all have different USP's and markets.
I really don't give a flying rats grinner if it's got 3500 bhp, that's for pub bores and boy racers! It will be mass produced for the masses, designed by a group around a table in a salon, with one eye on budgets.

Only Ford I would have is RWD and has a crossflow fitted. These VOLVO front wheel drive RS cars arent all they are cracked up to be. But then what modern car is??
I'll stick to my crappy little 20 year old AWD, as it's more fun, cheaper, and much more character.

RWD or 4 wheel drive would be nice, as would the next RS being a Fiesta rather than Focus. But I guess Ford will take the safe option and make if FWD

I don't think at my age I could be classed as a boy racer or a pub bore. What I will say is I've owned both the Mk1 and the MK2 Focus RS, used on road and track and they are far more capable than you give them credit for. Just for the record I have also owned a PPP'd WRX a few years ago which I thoroughly enjoyed (should have bought a JDM STI though - but you live an learn) and my son now has a spec C.
No doubt I'll own the next version as I've never lost any money with a rs badge to it.
99% of people who take a dig at them havnt owned one....don't get me wrong they are sh1te in the wet but that's to be expected
Anyway......I've just bought another soulless evo
And we all know they are better than subaru's

Can't see it being RWD unless they take bits from the new Mustang. If it's fwd again then the 350 won't be a problem. Mines running more and it's fine, yes totally agree in the wet they are useless even at a standard 300

Lots of "i'll make my opinion the truth here..cause that's what I can do"
Personally, I'm from both Ford and Subaru Backgrounds. Owned 'fast' versions from each and both have their merits and downfalls.
