Paid for cash... no loans no finance... no debts... 22 live at home with parents... just 200 per month on board... think that explains that one!

Rob,
it's a day-today kinda thing, getting a bit difficult now, piggy banks nearly empty, it's down to circumstance really, two years ago, working in family firm and retained firfighter on the side, now, dad died recently, firm closed, gave up firefighting, now building new house to provide low maintenance home for the future, when the house is finished I'll do something about earniong real money, until then I'm only earning fuel and keep, servicing has to come out of hard earned (and needed) savings, which there ain't much left of.
But believe me, when I drive my car, it makes the struggle worth while.
Ron.
ps, no wife, no mortgage, no kids! just Scooby, and my mate (right) andy!

I own mine too - I could have gone the company car route, but imagine the tax with those emissions and of course no mods. I'd rather have the extra spondooley each month and then be free to do what I want with the car.

RB5 Wr - Bought on switch route - didn't want finance attached to the car if I ever wanted to sell / upgrade etc.
Not strictly paid for as I have a Virginone account (which I highly recommend btw) so its now part of my mortgage debt :-)
But low mortgage apr's and Co car allowance make it quite affordable

The Switch thingy is a great way to pay, and popular too it seems.
Dealers like it, its instant and it doesn't cost them extra, though wrxrob's dealer didn't seem to know that
Trouble is you get a payment slip thats less impressive than a bus ticket, no point getting it framed!
Ron, are you the Ron to whom I was compared (on the Hant/Dorset thread) when I claimed to be a grey haired old git?
If so, I should have a word. Are you going to Burley next week?
