I had a MY99 (7/10) before i bought STi7. This is (9/10) can't believe how good it is and i've still only done 2000 miles so it still has got to loosen up.I think for the money it's fantastic.

Thumbs up

I don't know what spec we get here (think UK or AUS, but not JDM).
I previously owned a MY00 Turbo, and MY01 WRX. They cannot compare.
The STi outclasses them in every aspect.

Wink

Brilliant!! Wouldn't change my STi7 for anything. I've waited 6 years for my first Impreza and boy did I make the right choice.
As my hubby drives a Landrover every day I have been educating him this afternoon in the concept of speed and handling along the A272. I think it opened his eyes (or did he have them closed for most of the journey) it certainly puts a grin on my face!!!

Enjoy Enjoy Enjoy !!!

Drive safe guys!

Traded in my RB5 for the Type UK and while not gobsmackingly different in a straight line (RB5 was decatted) the way the UK goes round corners and the way it communicates to you the amount of grip each wheel has is in a different league completely.

Just IMHO of course

Question

I`m having a full scoobysport exhaust fitted to my Type UK before collection. Is anybody running one fully decatted and has it been rolling roaded?

Question

Cheers Dave just printing it all off now and read it at work.
Had a quick scan and was wondering if it is worth contacting my Subaru dealership with these questions as they are the ones fitting the exhaust along with all my other options before i pick the car up.

No......just interested in an `objective` comparison if possible. Every time I`m at CVC (not often !) I have a look and think about a test drive but can`t really take to those basic looks to be honest. Especially that stickered standard STI demo......put me off for life.

More than pleased with the P1 - 9k now and better all the time.

Love it to bits BUT got one of - clearly - quite a few with dodgy NSR Suspension - waiting for the parts from japan - and wasn't too happy with the stability until the OEM Bridgestones settled. Now I'm into it, I'd prefer it to be bit sharper 3000 - 4000 rpm which is, apparently, the strong feature of PPP. For looks and cred I'd go P1, and I suspect that performance wise I'd go unequivocally for a tweaked STi UK!

Oh, and I'd LOVE a rear wash-wipe!!!

FWIW

You only think the handling was poor, you wanna try it with a space saver on the rear!!!!! (peskey nail)

I wonder would it fit over the brembos?
