Hi my WRX is going in to get the rear section of the exhaust replaced at my local longlife garage.

It is a 2010 model and it already has the PPP on it so it has a 2.5" stainless system from the cat back.

It only has 1 silencer on it which is around 23" and is a monsterous chambered thing.

Question I have is they are going to fit a smaller straight through silencer instead of the chambered set up.

What sort of size box is best?

The PPP exhaust is just so quiet with zero burble.

I use the car daily so dont want it to scream at me, but need some noise in my life again.

I thought the hatch on didnt have the burble.

There is no reason why it wont have the burble as it has unequal length headers so surely it will burble.

You can hear it, but its just not loud.

At idle it burbles but get on the power and the noise totally changes, doesnt sound bad, just doesnt sound like an Impreza

 

Any advice on silencer size at all??? Goes in tomorrow

 

Silencer sorted and the burble is finally there.
