This car is not worth more than four figures. I'm sure the seller is aware of that too.

The spec is quite nice, even if XXRs seem even more vulgar each time I see them.

Low mileage doesn't necessarily equate to good condition, but you'd assume it was in good nick given the price they're asking for.

Were I looking at spending £12k on a newage saloon, I'd spend those funds on a limited edition car or a JDM import.

All the silly tat can probably be removed and you would get some money back if you sold the gay wheels and put a set of OEMs on there with good tyres, and improve the drive at the same time.

I would be checking the service book, should have lots of stamps, although I have seen many low mileage 10 year old cars advertised as a full service history with 2 or 3 stamps! Grinds my gears, should have about 10 stamps in there.

Would expect to pay 9 to 9.5 if everything is in order, agreed 12k is JDM money.

Edit - what make is the gearknob? Looking something to replace mine as it's a bit rattily, that looks very nice

Xxrs are rapidly becoming a wheel of ridicule and won't sell soon, a bit like the way 3 spoke alloys went.

As for the roof spoiler its either bonded or bolted on so difficult to remove

I suspect it is a bit of cheap tat, as I can't find any official white gearknobs with a six-speed pattern (only five speed).

Google suggests these chaps might know a bit more http://www.alibaba.com/product-detai...545758655.html

Remove those crap wheel and the gearnob and it looks a decent car, but £12k is way, way overpriced.

i agree, im not struck on the wheels, i have asked if he has the original ones. They would be 1st thing i'd change either for standards or somne pro 1.2's.

There's no way i'd pay the asking price, even owner i think knows not worth that thats why hes open to offers. He just chancing his arm.

Too me if car is as in good nick as it looks and service stamps add up even with low mileage then got be car worth buying if price comes down?

I'd rather pay bit extra for good one at 27k miles than a good one with 50-60 on the clock

A low mileage example is not always a good one as op said 3 stamps is poor for a 10 yo car,you could get one with 140k thats been serviced regulary that runs better, dont buy the first one you view, try and get 1 as standard as possible

I work with the person selling this car. It is a lovely well maintained example of a car. Wheels etc all come down to personal preference.
