Once upon a time there was a sad bloke called Dave. He just hated using the post and writing cheques. For that reason, every time he got round to joining the SIDC (which he has wanted to do since May 99)it was so close to renewal date it was hardly worth it.... so he'd leave it and another year would go by...

So here's my suggestion.... but before I make it I know all you guys and girls do this thing in your own time, so I have no beef, I'm just lazy... and I was around when the one membership date thing was announced so I recognise the logic behind it... but...

What about running two membership dates one say in March the other in September. This spreads the load for you guys as you dont get a couple of thousand new memberships in the same few weeks.... maybe speeds up the rate everyone gets their membership packs.... and gives lazy gits like me a chance of getting at least six months membership.

you have 2 options.

1. send us a tenner for halfyear membership.

2. wait a week or 2 for the online membership / credit card payment system.

Running with a single membership year system works for us, we have talked about changing, but it would not suit.

Dave you're "not" alone out there, so if the above is a serious suggestion your'e on.
