Why is it tacky? They aren't actually getting married in the car, only being driven to or from the venue.

I got my mate to drive my wife and I from the church to the photo shoot and then to the reception venue in his MY99 Impreza WRX STI. My wife got driven to the venue in a Merc and wouldn't let anybody drive me anywhere in the Merc.

I wouldn't be seen dead in a Beemer, Merc or Audi. I find the drivers of those German cars very rude and with a great lack of driving skills in and around the London area.

They do not have a clue how to use the indicators or even know where they are situated. So if being driven to or from a wedding venue in a Subaru with a driver that knows what he's doing behind the wheel, then I'd rather have a tacky wedding.

I think the car has little to no relevance in the ability to indicate, or how to drive in general....

Could have got the guy who took you to drive you in something a bit special...

I know, but it seems that those three make of cars are the worst with that (BMW and Mercedes being the worst), so it just tells me about the drivers... Too much money and too little brains, thus they get driven everywhere and cannot drive themselves.

He did, his MY99 Impreza WRX STI, there is nothing more special than that to me! It is my favorite IMpreza shape and he is the guy that got me into Subarus and the Impreza model.

You might think so, but I go for what I like and want, not what the rich snobs want me to!

Think we are missing the point here, each to their own taste and all, but maybe some people don't want to be like the majority and just want something alittle different!

They are are going half a mile around the corner, 100-150 on a Luxury Merc taxi just unnecessary!

But like I said each to their own

Anyway, they are a nice bunch obviously.

Hope the wedding day goes great and that your marriage is a long and happy one Mr and Mrs Domino46

Thanks ,, been with her 12 years now and still feel like we just met ,,, if it wasn't for her I think I would of given up subarus years ago but she stood behind me when I was going though the bad days of blown engines , blown turbos and gearboxes and she didn't moan once ,, even when I started building a wrc scoob and said I'm looking at spending another 70k on getting it finished ,, she just said "as long as your happy" so I thought I'd better ask her to marry me before I say I'm buying a brand new one

This is the one they are lending me

Except a Merc will probably break down

Jags make far better wedding cars in my opinion, but really if they want to use a Scoob that's up to them

XDevil, grow up. And for your information I have an SL, which would be about as much use as a weeding car as a tandem bike.
