Whats your budget?

All in my opinion of course:

£5-7k = 03-04 Sti
£7-9k = 05 Sti
£9k+ = JDM sti, spec C if you can afford one.

Dont look at 2.5's unless forged by a reputable specialist, stay away from classics unless its a weekend toy.
