A review

I think it's decent for the money. Took about a ten days from japan/china. There's links on technomans video on where to buy as there are a lot of crap ones. Piece of **** to use too

Are you able to set defined recording periods eg 10 No @ 5 minutes and does it automatically delete oldest recordings to prevent filling card up?

Can you also choose to save particular recordings in the event of an incident?

You drive like a girl, Dan. Short shifting much!

Cracking quality for a £32 camera, might have to invest in one.

I've got these fitted to our 3 cars.

After experiencing some huge liars in accident claims, if anyone tries it on again, then they will have video evidence to contend with.

Have already captured some interesting moments on camera!

They also work as a trackday camera if you bought the rearview mirror clamp

Not sure if you can get it separately, but I bought it included in the kit

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rearview-M...item1e8d686620

It hangs down below the rearview, I routed the power cable all the way along headliner, under the A-pillar trim etc.

I don't even notice it is there & everytime the ignition is on it auto records, a new file every few mins

If your car was hit from the rear and/or side while at some lights or a junction, this would prove that you were stationary and did not "appear from nowhere" etc.

If plod stop you for dangerous driving or speeding I guess they could confiscate footage to use in prosecution against you?

Don't drive dangerously on the road

The camera has a micro SD card, which is easy to remove if you really really have to due to the reason you mentioned.

Delete does not delete the file, only reference to the file. Anyone with a bit of IT knowledge can retrieve "deleted" files.

Can confirm the above as an IT techie. You'd be better off snapping the card into pieces!
That camera looks quality, think I'm going to read a few reviews and order one up. Is there a way to wire this into the car so as to keep the cigarette socket free for my satnav?

Got a new Car Cam after reading the O.P.

Bought this for around £16:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/390899083670

Bought it, installed it and did a test yesterday and came out like this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wy1l...ature=youtu.be

Cracking for the money.
