Default OBD2 tool

Can anyone recommend any obd2 scanning tools that will work on a w reg forester turbo please.I have one already but it wont work on my forester but will work on some other motors

Which one is it? I've got the elm327 and I have the same problem with my car,will connect but I get no information,works fine on my mates WRX

I know that with my V reg facelift classic Impreza I had to manually check mine. The OBD2 tool doesn't work with classic model Subarus.

It is very helpful, it might work with your Forester.
