Default Light smoke on start up

Anyone knows what causes the light smoking from the exhaust on startup?

Only noticed it again this morning with the cooler weather and rain but outside temp was still 15'c

I guess mapping and decat don't help but is it just oil or fuel in the exaust!

I believe it's the boxer configuration that causes small amounts of oil to collect above the pistons if the car is standing for any length of time i.e. cold. This burns as soon as the engine is fired up.

Cheers mate, just watched a few videos on YouTube of scoobs starting from cold and it appears normal, also went to check my oil and coolant both clear and fresh

Someone must have mixed coolant colours before though as the coolant bottles are nasty colours inside! Checked coolant in both tanks though all is clear as day

Thank god! Hate reading threads on here makes me check my car everytime haha

It's most likely just condensation, even though the weathers warm it still gets cold at night

could be oil lying in the intercooler and overnight collecting at the throttle body, as soon as you start it up pulls through the engine
