hi guys,
i have a 2003 blobeye wrx ppp wagon and was wondering if putting an sti redtop manifold will have any advantage over my standard one, i know the sti redtop has the tgv deletes but i have no idea what they are or if it will make any difference?
i plan to get an sti top mount and a set of pinks, i already have a walbro 255 but not yet fit because i want to get all the parts together before fitting them all so i only have to get a remap once.
when i do all the above will i be better to go down the decat route or leave the prodrive cats on?
also what else would i need to get the car to around 320bhp just i dont want to go higher due to the standard gearbox as i asked before what is a safe bhp output for the box and was told around 300 to 350.
cheers.

There is nothing to be gained by changing the manifold at that stage of tune. You don't have prodrive cats, you just have the centre cat removed and a prodrive back box. You would benefit from removing the other two cats, one in the up-pipe and one in the down pipe which if you can get one a prodrive sports cat down pipe would mean no fuss come mot time, and get either a harvey up-pipe or an STI up pipe to increase flow/bhp and spool.
