Default When trying to sell a bugeye.....

.... don't have a classic in the vicinity

My friend is trying to sell her son's bugeye WRX, but every time someone comes to look at it they glance briefly at the bug before looking at her immaculate classic WRX and saying 'Can we have that instead?'.

The sale, it has to be said, is not going too well

Bugeyes were always pig ugly compared to a nice classic anyway.

No doubt someone will be offended at the above statement, either way I don't give a toss it's true.

As Dunk said I don't think the problem is anything to do with it not being an STI and a whole lot to do with it not being a classic in terms of looks

To be honest I used to hate the bug's looks, but they have grown on me over the intervening years mainly due to yours powerwrx and handful of white STIs that used to grace these pages.

Likewise though a classic is still that iconic shape and if tidy does look like a special car.

I just thought it was funny that when people come to look they drool over her classic.... I have suggested she hide it round the corner next time

I'll ask her to put some up. She has a login on here somewhere I think.

Yeah I remember a few pics of yours with gold wheels I think.... that was the first time I looked at a bug and thought wow! It was just so clean and uncluttered looking. You did a great job on that car!

I had a Prodrive styled STI bug.
It was just the old style headlights that made then not so pretty, apart from that, 100 times better than the old classic version.

Quite embarrassing for most bugeye owners to be honest ....although I do really like that white one and the S202.

If you have **** in your eye maybe, then again you bought a hatch so you have not the foggiest idea what constitutes a good looking car

What about a white S202, still can't work out how to put pictures up but most of you know the car anyway. Andy

Can every one remember seeing the Bugeye for the first time when it was to be the classics replacement? I almost burst into tears!
