How long has the current owner had it mate.
If it's not on the register then ofcourse the current owner is going to deny it imo.
Are there any signs of it being fire damaged, has it had lots of paint etc etc.

Hi Brian I have just sent the owners club an email saying that I will take further action if they don't remove or rectify the rb5 registry immediately ! I would hate to see you lose out on this car because of some idiot who put in the wrong build no. If you would like I can try and find the previous owners number to reassure you?
Or you could have the car inspected by a specialist as an extra reassurance? Hopefully I will hear from the owners club soon?
Let me know what you think?
Kind regard
Myles

plus there was a thread the other day and the rb5 being discussed was a lot cheaper but was decided that it was still too expensive.

Theres a couple of 10k classics kicking about at the moment, this one and a Terzo also on Pistonheads, I don't think either are nice enough to go for that sort of money personally, but its interesting to see them going up at these prices. Theres also an STi wagon up at over 7.5k, which is border line justifiable with less than 30,000 miles and very possibly rust free, I very much doubt the RB5 and Terzo are!
