Yep. You might need to get a control unit but guages can be attached to any Subaru.

I think the hatch uses branded Defis.

It's only with certain head units, I have a MY11 hatch which has a Pioneer head unit which doesn't have the gauge display function as there's no can bus adapter for it, not to be confused with the comfort adapter for steering wheel controls. But I think the 330 had a Kenwood unit which had a can bus connection for the gauge display

AFAIK there's no specific cable... or at least I've never seen one in mine, I believe the display data is derived from the CanBus connection. You could try asking the guys on the 08/09 hatches thread as they should have the feature if they have the satnav fitted... Rob84 would be a good source

https://www.scoobynet.com/members-ga...ourselves.html

or the MY11 saloon/hatch thread where Don Clark is the guru of all model detail

https://www.scoobynet.com/members-ga...-and-chat.html

But I'm not aware of anyone fitting the older satnav head unit in the MY11 cars to get the display.

BTW both Rob & Don are found on many threads but they each own the respective model year cars of the treads above... Don has a saloon but I won't hold that against him as it's a real gem

I had a 330S, but the standard navigation unit didn't have a boost gauge that I can remember?

Hi,

It looks the same as the OEM Kenwood navi unit, but as has been said, I didn't think it had this capability.

Could it be that its using a bluetooth OBDII connector with an Ipod/android app running on the screen ??

Unless it's a reflection, car looks LHD and 330s was only a UK car??
Interesting cable running top to bottom of picture touching the indicator stick ???

I was under the impression this was the extent of the guages available...
Similar to the later models but on screen instead of a seperate readout

Another possibility is that it's running custom software as most of the data is on the map dvd..........

This is true but it just uses the data from the OBDII port wiring similar to any of the ODBII apps/devices but built in.

The wiring for the later hatch/saloons is CAN bus but only outputs the trip and overall fuel consumption to the dashboard screen.

It was not until the G4 Impreza (2012), XV and newer SH/SJ Foresters that got better data information output screens
