Its the spigot bearing, usually come with new lightened flywheels, either replace it or knock out the old flywheel & fit to the new.

I have had motocross bikes with lightweight flywheels but have always assumed they would be no good for a daily driver as it would be jumpy in traffic etc. Am I right or wrong?

If you go too light then pulling away does become a pita, I have a 7kg flywheel which is fine, if you go lighter then you will start to find it gets harder.

Juddering is not caused by the flywheel weight.
Lightened flywheels have reduced mass therefore lower mementum than full weight flywheels which are used to stop the engine from stumbling when pulling away from idle.
Juddering is caused by clutch bite.

I used to have a 5.25kg flywheel and 6-paddle helix clutch and uprated cover, hydraulic conversion T5 gearbox fitted to my old sierra. it was easier to drive than my daily was.

spigot bearing should only be a couple of quid from subaru

They can judder when first fitted Don't panic just yet

LWFW's are great IMHO Easier on a 5 speed but by no means hard work on a 6 speed
