As above really, got a 6 speed gearbox that has a couple of crunches in 4th and 5th and possibly 6th so requires some new synchros.

How much is this worth?

About £7-800 for the box on its own as it would cost +/- £500 to fix.

Plenty of people out there wanting Samsonas Gearkits so would pay that for a busted box as they only want the casings.....

£500 is optimistic for repair costs. Syncro's plus bearings plus unknowns (until you open it). You can quite easily spend a grand.

Ive already been quoted £500 +vat for the synchro work,

This isnt to discuss rebuild costs, it its to discuss sale costs anyway

Fix it and sell it as refurbed. Worth more that way than an unknown used box. Personally as is I'd value it at £600

I was thinking £700 for the box in this condition, I have just started a new job etc and dont have time to rebuild it etc.

And as I said, it is been sold as in need of a rbeuild, as any second hand parts should be
