I took precat off and didn't remap. Ran it for 4 years with a bigger TMIC with no issues.

Bigger TMIC made it slightly laggier then I fitted catless up-pipe and It reversed that lost lag.
Basically I was just left with a bit more growl to the exhaust note after 4,000rpm. There was no flat spots, misfires, extra pops, stalling or idling issues. BHP gains will have been minimal until it was finally mapped. 5-10bhp maybe.
I added octane booster for drag runs just in case it was leaning out.
