Just remember to wind back the handbrake shoes, there's a cover on the (Back side) of the disc. With a allen key manually wind the brake shoes back. Otherwise the disc will not come off. Seen a few handbrake shoes and mechanism's damaged this way

Not sure about an allen key, on mine you have to remove a rubber grommet then back off the brake shoe adjuster wheel with a flat screwdriver. Only then can you remove the disc. Good luck if you can do the job in 20 minutes, I'd allow a couple of hours to get it all set up properly.

As I said 20 mins if all is well but if you end Helicoiling the calipers like I had to on the front then make it a 6 hour job. Some after market discs rub on the back plate so a bit of grinding is in order to.

So you can get the car off the ground and supported on stands, wind off the handbrake shoes, remove the discs, change the pads, replace with new discs, readjust the handbrake, wheels back on and car back on the ground in 20 minutes? What a total load of bollocks!

You must work slow then. 10 wheel nuts, 4 caliper bolts, 4 split pins and 4 retaining pins and it is all apart. Chuck the retaining pins in the lathe and clean them up file the back plates on the pads to make them slide easily and put it all back together with copper slip on everything that moves.
This is what I love about this forum. No one is right.

All in 20 minutes? I think not. And you've forgotten the drum brakes behind the discs which always have to be backed off before removal or risk causing damage, then readjusted once it's all back together. I'd love to see someone do that lot in 20 minutes.
