Default new guy

Hello everyone, my name is Jacob and im 19 and live in Cornwall, currently finishing off my a levels before i head off to Hertfordshire for uni. As of Saturday i was driving a peugeot 207 gti on a stage 2 map pushing 220bhp. this car had so many issues it was untrue, final straw was exessive manifold pressure which was down to the timing slipping and carbon build up which cracked a piston! so its currently sitting on the drive ready to be dismantled for parts. im also currently building a 207 1.4 hill climb car which will have forged internals, ralley cams and throttle boddies should see 150bhp from that. here is a photo of the gti

i also currently own part of the 207oc and am a big forum nut so hope to join in here as much as possible! so to cut to the point, im now looking at purchasing an impreza wrx blob eye saloon, my personal choice in colour would be white but i have a feeling they never made a white one? i have about £4500 to spend on one so im hoping i can pick up a good one for that price. is there anything i should look out for? only thing ive read is the rear shocks can knock? but this was resolved on the 55 plate, this also has the upgraded heater controls and steering wheel? so hopfully i can find one of these. unfotunatly cannot aford an sti so this is the next best thing. if anyone knows of a really good car or any tips please say. one last thing what mileage are cam belts due?
Jacob

What will it cost you to insure it ? (Just a thought)

P.s hello and welcome

P.p.s. Belts are at 50000 miles or 60 months

I've recently moved from Cornwall to Manchester (not by choice) and my insurance jumped about £800 ,but still 19 years old and can get insurance on a turbo car not bad these days. I can see you now at MacDonalds (the old market) gaining lots of jealous friends best watch your back lol.
