Some of the advert is true it does have 4 doors/4x4/its a2.0 and is black so they got a lot of it right. Should it have water spray and what about steering wheel?

hi there, I was about to email you with interest in your car but upon reading your advert and looking at the pics I can confirm that its not an STi.. no STi speedo clocks... they are standard 4pot brakes not Brembo.. pretty sure the STi comes with Fog covers and no lamps.. no STi badges.. GC8 Turbo imprezas are 1992-2000. its just a WRX with a few STI extras such as seats and intercooler.

can I ask if the 310bhp is proven and what the supporting mods are along with the ecu mapper

thanks

see if I get a response

A quick vehicle ID check confirms all our suspicions (not that we was in any doubt) lol ...

'Vehicle details found: WK05BWC BLACK, 2005 SUBARU IMPREZA WRX 4 DOOR SALOON'

To be honest though if the engine spec is right I don't think he's far off with the price.

This car is one we bought damaged a few years ago !! It's had a os chassis leg welded in and front clip.

IT WAS SOO HEAVILY DAMAGED, it broke the os cyl head off the block !!!

A quick hpi check will reveal, that my actual private reg was assigned to the car also !!

Cuprajake can confirm this as he did the paintwork !!

This bit makes me laugh, when a car dealer puts thing like this in an advert
"This car drives as it should, not thrashed or abused, properly warmed up and cooled, top grade lubricants used at service" blah blah blah "maintained exactly as a subaru should be"

Now, has this guy got a data logger, or telemetry for how the car has been driven, or has he just been following the vehicle around all it's life cos he knows that one day he's going to be offering it for sale!

Well, it hit a lamp post at high speed !! But to be fair after I repaired it, I ran it myself for 12month and it did drive nice.

Just ask him why is he trying to sell a WRX as an STI, technically you could pull him up on ebay descriptions policy I'm sure.

I emailed him via eBay the moment it was listed and politely asked the rhetoric that did he know it was just a WRX and not an STI. Still no response.

That with the crash history on it too, makes me angry the **** is clearly out to rob someone.

I'll be reporting the ad to eBay as despise people like this. Clearly its not a genuine error, enough of us appear to have emailed him and the ad still hasn't been changed.

...plus he got me excited for a brief moment thinking a widetrack STI had come up for sale!

I don't doubt that it doesn't drive nice, it's just the wild claims that the seller knows how it's been treated for its entire life!

"Not thrashed or abused" "maintained exactly as a subaru should be"

Hit a lamp post = abuse!
service at 40k then at 65k = not maintained as a subaru should be!
