Hi All,

How many labour hours roughly would I be looking at if I got a garage to swap a gearbox for me? just a straight swap?

5-6 hours iirc. Can cost anywhere between £200-500 dependant on where you go. It's do-able on a drive as I've not long done my STi clutch on the drive!! If you do make sure there's two of you to get the box in/out

If you are feeling keen you can do it yourself, I have done a 6 speed by myself on the drive, never again, but it is doable

you'd have done it in half the time if you took the engine out.

The hardest part is getting the down pipe to turbo nuts off, coz if they're seized they're a nightmare to get off!!
