Default some advise on the 1 button key

Hi guys,

I have a 2003my blobeye wrx wagon with all its paperwork etc but i only got 1 key, the ALPHA CORP, COJ12, SERIAL NUMBER: 00000, So i have purchased one of the keys in the link below

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-1-B...item2ed12717f2

i have all the instructions, pin code etc for the keypad in the pull down coin tray on how to reprogramme multiple keys onto the alarm system, so i thought get a second-hand key fit a new blade and bob would be my uncle, HA!!! little did i know the key blades can’t be replaced as there moulded

Anyway now had another idea but want to check it can be done before i spend more money on pointless keys, I’m going to reprogramme the key i purchased from ebay and cut off the blade and i was wondering if i could buy one of these in the link below

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1906786436...84.m1497.l2649

or do i need a key with chip in it to start the car, just I’m not sure if the key i got off ebay has all the chips/transponders inside already, as the sti key in the link has none.

Cheers.
