Thought I'd join it and hoped to chat to like minded fellows..........not a bloody chance.
It is full of complete idiots with no idea. Not only will they offer bad advise, underlining a lack of knowledge, their mates will back them up and defend them for trying to help.
'My TD04 is boosting at 1.8 and 2 bar and it's only running 330bhp. It's ok though, I've found the different map button.'

On the Yorkshire Facebook page they spend all day slagging roof vents and WRX PPP off, very knowledgeable chaps.
I've not seen the paradox of dump valves sound sh*te but pop and bangs are cool yet.

It can get a bit incestuous on here, but it's still a wealth of useful information for all Impreza owners - you just have to learn how to filter out the bull****.
I try not to get involved in any disputes, as you're soon outnumbered, even if you're right. Good job it's only the internet, eh?

Oh my yes I agree. I've already been banned for not agreeing with the majority. There is a group built up of the SNet massive called Scooby chat. Of course you have to know someone to join as it's not open to everyone

I have been invited and accepted to Scooby chat now...I think. Not really looked at it hard enough.
I'm too busy pissing my pants at the idiots on the SIOC page.
My god there are some complete numpties on there.
Makes the day go quicker though and they are so easy to wind up. Plus as soon as they start throwing insults and swearing, they get thrown out.
So that's my mission in life....to rid the world of Impreza owners with no idea.

I know we all had to start somewhere but some of the comments are truly brilliant.
I applaud the effort, but suggesting to 'check your dumpvalve connections' when the temp gauge is through the roof and the water is bubbling away in the expansion tank, is not the best of advise.
The amount of guys on there with Impreza's running over 400bhp is amazing.
I think I must be the only one running near stock power.
One guy painted his standard 4 pots gold and then the letters in dark blue the other day. He thought it looking amazing.
One guy had a sport and the previous owner has riveted, yes riveted a bonnet scoop onto the bonnet.

I posted a thread asking if a general notice should be put on the page regarding conduct and swearing. Every post seemed to contain 50% c or f words. Fine but they have accepted several kids as members.
95% of people didn't see what my f+cking problem was and that I was stuck up, posh and clearly public schooled.
Then, I was a member no more.
Let them crack on I say. There so many people on there that couldn't construct a sentance - it was unbelievable. Sad really.
