Gear linkage woes...
Replacement gearbox fitted and all is fine apart from the sloppy gearstick. Now off the old box it had a short shifter fitted which felt great. Lads in work cured the sloppy change by swapping the bracket off the old box and linking the gear linkage up. But now the gears seem stiffer, too stiff. Could it be that the locking pin went in at a slight angle or that I just need to put my old linkage back on? Bushes worn in the linkage that came with the replacement box? Appreciate any help.

How tight will it need to be mate? Before this was done it went in gear lovely albeit it felt like it was in neutral in every gear lol. Fixed that issue, but like I say it's gone too stiff now.
