Sold the Impreza, so long and thanks
#1
Hi there,
Just a quick post to say I have sold the Impreza, and will be driving a Seat Leon TDI 110 from this coming Saturday.
Thanks to everyone here for all the help, advice, and bargains had during my time with the car.
I part on good terms with my MY98 turbo wagon, and am certainly not done with performance cars - due to the sort of driving I am doing at the moment, the Impreza costs an arm and a leg to run with few smiles per mile, and it's hard to get on airfield / track days close by to Southampton, so I'll return in 18 months to 2 years with a dedicated track car.
I'll still read and post from time to time, and will no doubt see you at some of the events.
If anyone goes to look at a red 98 wagon with OZ Super Leggeras, 38,300 on the clock and a red Momo gear ****, give me a shout and I'll tell you all about it. Registration is S---XOE.
Thanks again,
Simon.

The 110 TDi VAG engine in the Leon chips quite nicely.
130-135bhp and 200-210 lb/ft torque is easily possible which should
get the 0-60 in the low 9's and much easier revving in 3rd & 4th
Don't believe an ridiculous claims on extra power though.
(ps I've gone the other way - Scoby- diesels - Scooby)
