Have you got some lithium grease and are you lubricating the pillowball top mount regularly? Have you jacked the car up for an hour or so then gone for a drive see if it doesn't do it for a while?

Check the large nut is tight also.
I have been going through the same problems and by process of elimination have come to the top mounts. I had it up on ramps to change the oil at the weekend and gave the top mounts a good spray with lithium grease. A combination of that and obviously suspension settling got rid of the noise (temporarily at least). If when I get in it at the weekend and it does it again I'll spray with grease again and see if it works. Worse case is replacements top mounts from BC are about £30 each I think.

At least you've isolated it now
When it does it again, spray it only in one place at a time go for a drive see if it's that. Then you will be able buy new parts from BC.

Check the top nut with the car on the ground as the weight of the hub and brakes will put pressure on the components. Generally suspension parts need to be tightened when under load.
