Quick Question
If running in the shootout does the car need to be taxed?
I cant see any reason why it has to be taxed as it is private land and does not come under the road traffic act.
I rally aswell and aslong as the rally is not on public roads then my car does not need to be taxed or insured but must have a valid MOT cert.
Is this the same for the shootout?
Obviously people's insurance would be void on the day as the car is being used in a competition but having an MOT is a must as the car does have to be roadworthy.
Thanks in advance.

Another quick question while im on here now i have just read the regs.
Why is the "PRO" class restricted to cars running sub 11.3s ??
What if there is an entry for a non normal road going car that can't run a sub 11.3? does it get refused?

for this event cars must be taxed tested and insured for road use to compete, otherwise it will have to run in demo class only.
pro class for this event is purely based on times, ie sub11.3s, not the fact of it being a pro car or privateeer, so you will see both on that class.

so why are the "PRO" cars allowed a higher sound limit on the noise test?
Surely there should be one limit that everyone abides to and not one rule for one and one rule for another?
