Brakes were fine really, better than the tyres as i was locking all four wheels up and had to cadence brake, yet still didnt slow down much. It would have been easier to modulate them with AP's but they were more than good enough for a short sprint.

I want them to set it up again - so that I can have a go - really gutted to have been off the road the day before this.....
Still - need to concentrate on the Time Attack Club Challenge next - June 17th at Silverstone for me. Hopefully my car will be running fine for that.
I have to knock Neilo off that plateau he is on currently and bring him back to down to earth

If you like this then look out for...
The Scooby Speed Challenge - a double event weekender on Sat and Sun 5th & 6th August at Kames in East Ayrshire. This is a sprint circuit that is set up to run clockwise and anti-clockwise over the 2 days.
It is a proper MSA regulated event. I will be issuing regs and details to all those that have shown an interest in my ideas previously. Anyone else interested then frop me a PM please.
As this is over a weekend, then we will have BBQ, camping, etc and must thank John Stevenson for inviting us to compete in this. We will have our own classes - so will be real competition within the Subaru community.

Im taking the car off the road for the next few months as im having a special 2.5 being built at the moment, got to fit a rolecage etc+ i need to fit a new gearbox as its been knackered since the Tuner GP last year where i overheated the oil and killed the 5th gear syncro!(probably why the spec c has an oil cooler and uprated syncros?) I am hoping to have it ready for the last few rounds of the Time Attack series with any luck

Well done on your result by the way
Just a shame i didnt have a set of tyres suitable for the final as both our cars had a very similar setup

For what it is worth, my first ever competitive event and I really enjoyed it.
Could have done with another 50 laps to get to grips with it, as I am more used to trackdays where you have more time to learn the lines etc.
These sprint things require a different approach.

Always next year and remember to read the weather forecast this time and/or take a second set of tyres with you.

Shaun.

A friend took my video camera down, and took some far from good footage (people bumping into him, wind, shielding from rain etc). I took the raw footage and did a quick rough edit in my incredibly limited time and the result is as follows:

Hope you enjoy it!
