Default Mustoe91 Blobeye

Right I thought it was about time I started a project thread as it will be easier for people to follow my progress instead of bugging them with pm's

Right I brought my standard Blob back in October 2012 and since then it's changed abit...

Styling wise It's since had its headlights changed and gone for a hi rise spoiler

Performance wise after abit of research and help of you guys I went for a hks panel filter, 255 hrc fuel pump, sports cat, and a japspeed exhaust system from the sports cat back, and yes there is a turbo smart bov on there to (await abuse)

Had it mapped by Duncan and it completely transformed the car haven't got figures of power as we done a open source map on the road but he said he thinks it's around 270bhp

Now to how the car stands now

I have a set of rota to put on them when I can afford tyres, I put them on to see what they looked like and I really like them but think it sits to hi so any suspension options I can go for ?

Now to my plans

Performance wise

Saturday I'm picking up a Andy Forrest AFP04H custom port hybrid turbo as I really like the sound of full boost at 2500rmp

In new few weeks will also be picking up
A set of 650cc injectors
Sti tmic
Sti manifold

Styling wise

Wheels for my other set of alloys
Tint the rear and front windows
Set of black Scoobyworld mudflaps

Interior wise

Haven't made my mind up if I want to get a set of 3 pro sport gauges or just to get a pro sport boost gauge on the door pilar, then just a 7" screen with sat nav and iPod connectivity and that's it for interior

Now it's a wrx I'm not looking to make it like a sti as I don't really see the point putting sti stickers or side skirts bumpers ect ect on it because it's clearly not a sti

I'm a newbie to scoobs so would love to see your comments and advice

Cheers Sam

Well let's put it this way in 6 months I'm expecting a little one so may have to go springs so what's the best option ?

And I know your biased toward silver blobs Matt

Also when it's all on and ready to go will be getting a Andrew Carr map as I like the sound of anti lag and launch control

Sam, Duncan can do launch control and anti lag too and as you already have his map on it, it's best to stay with him than start again.
when you pop over you can see what full boost at 2500rpm on a 2.5 feels like.
1st off, just go for a splitter as it gives the impression of the car being lower.
have a look at mine when you pop over.

Antilag is not available on your map. Lc will be there already.
It will hold rpm at 5k. Try it when warm it works below 5 mph . Think just hold throttle down.
For Antilag on your ecu you need carberry rom which I think dunc still does but requires fresh map

Hey Sam,

Car looks smart,a lot better than when I first seen it.
To be honest I wouldn't go down the coil over route, just some Prodrive/Eibach springs.

Thanks for all the comments lads

I will speak to Duncan in the new year when all the parts all purchased (shouldn't be long)

I will be getting a up pipe as it makes sence to change it when replacing the turbo

I was reading up on eibach springs the other day a liked the reviews I read

This is why I started this thread to get some good advice off you lot

Little update for you all I'm nearly there on collecting my performance parts just waiting for my 650cc injectors, Sti tmic, Sti manifold and undertray to arrive Monday/Tuesday, then all that's left to get is a induction kit from rcm and a up pipe most likely from the same place

I've spoke to someone at rcm and waiting for a quote on how much to fit all this and I don't want to attempt it and something go wrong so just waiting for a email off them also contacted scoobyworld to any other ideas of who to ask ?

Also decided I'm gunna run it dv less, as I wanted to try something differnt as my days of being a child are over (await abuse) so just got to pick up a plate to delete it seen someone on here doing a group buy for them so that won't be a problem

When I get paid will also be picking up a ht auto front splitter and a Sti bonnet scoop

Before anyone mentions it as well I'm more than likely going to uprate the front brakes to a set of brembos was going to go for uprated pads and disc but may aswell go brembos ?

Starting to come alive now can't wait to see what the next couple of months bring

I take it you've been told by Andy Forest that the turbo can handle running DV-less? Otherwise why not just go back to a recirc DV?

Shouldn't have an issue then. Get those graphs up when you've had the remap, be interested to see.

Hi fella.
650cc injectors? Ain't pinks 550 ok for the job? As 650 are quite large? Sorry for the questions as I'm still on std turbo td04 as well at 286 bhp (pushed to The limit ) and would like to do a similar route.

Only reason I went for these was well they were available at the time, and at a bargain price couldn't turn them down, and I won't have I worry about changing them again even if I do decided to change turbo when I get bored of the power

But yes 550cc injectors will do the job just fine, I've put a lot of research into this so if you decide to go down a route try and get as much information as you can

What route were you thinking of going ?

Fair enough, 650 injectors will suit a larger turbo later(good thinking).
well I'm looking for over 300, but would be great for 330Bhp one day.
So I thought like you a hybrid to get 300ish, a set of pink injectors(but I have heard std wrx injectors will be ok?) and that way i don't really need to change the intercooler straight away.
If I go for a VF35 turbo later I can do the intercooler/scoop then (STI version). I have already gone down the prodrive route, STI up-pipe, prodrive sports cat, centre delete cat, 3 port solinoid valve, 255 fuel pump and panel filter. Then Duncan mapped it
(fantastic off the line and keeps pulling).

Your car has the same set up as mine so far apart from I have a japspeed sports cat and mine is more than likely the same power as you I just haven't put it on the rollers

VF35 turbo is getting on abit now I've already started looking at my next turbo lol, if you want that kind of power your have to change to Sti tmic and injectors anyway, but I've been reading a lot about the TD05-16g and maybe that will be a possible route for you too

I'm hoping for over 300 but ever car is different with launch control and anti lag a 300bhp wrx will be a little rocket

there are bits of my imprezas everywhere

great little project though, id consider the suspension next though as the standard wrx set up is not great for an uprated car.
