Default STI V4 PROJECT

I bought this car as a fresh import 12 months ago completely standard, with the intention of wheels suspension etc and to keep the engine fairly standard with just basic breathing mods, so would make a ideal trackday car!!!

The day i got it registered the clutch started slipping so back in the garage, over 2 nights we put an Exedy stage 1 clutch kit, and a full service, on the test drive actually no more than 5 miles in the dreaded bottom end knock.. after stripping the engine it looked like oil pump failure and the bottom end was scrap.
So this is where it all started, what was going to be a straight forward bottom end swap turned in a small budget build which i have tried to document along the way.

The car is far from finished as you will see in the pictures and there are still a few bits to do..

The engine..
STI V7 bottom end
HKS headers with up-pipe (wrapped)
Graham Goode 11mm modified oil pump
Standard STI V4 heads ported and polished Re shimmed and all valve seats recut
RCM top end gasket kit
Turbo back 3" exhaust
340 lph fuel pump
Fuel lab pressure regulator
800cc Denso injectors
TD05-25G BILLET ANTI SURGE TURBO
3 port boost solenoid
Front mount intercooler
Re furbed inlet manifold finshed in standard matt red

Some pics along the way

Let me know how you get on I'm looking at a 20g or similar for my 2.1 once it's run in.

Jgm, how do you know if the kinugawa turbo is a good one or not? They look very keenly priced.

Tim.
