Default My rally replica project

When I was 17 I went on the Winter Rally and I saw my first rally Subaru in action, driven by our national hero. I fought: I want to have it !
It was 16 years ego...

About 4-5 yeaars ego i bought standard Sti type RA, and I started and have fun on track with it but it wasn't good enought, so we decided to build something faster.

Then my old idea come back. I want to have of Krzysztof Holowczyc rallycar replica! (he was rally champion of Europe in 1997).

What we tried to do was to build a car as close to the A group car as it possible. Unfortunately, most of the Prodrive parts are already not available or are at prices much beyond my budget.
Whole body was stripped, welded and painted, we've put rollcage similar as the A-group Subaru.

Engine is build according with the homologation with ALS and LC. At the moment there is the sti MY06 6MT with DCCD, but finaly we are going to put the dogbox by Kaps.
The biggest drama is the suspension - TEIN SS. Car is too light and the suspension just doesn't work. In the future the will use Protlum rally suspension.

First tests

Most disturbing to me were the wheels, Revolution are not the same as the rally speedline 2013, and then I found a company that manufactures wheels licensed by speedline and they are identical
Differences between the wheels.

And The Dhay has come

And the orginal :

Car had a massive crash on the RAC rally in 1997

Car is not finished yet, there is still planty to do, but by small steps we will do my perfect car

Cars was build by MTS Subaru - authorized Subaru service in Poland

thank You guys
the car was specially built for the biggest Subaru meeting in Poland. More than 300 cars competing in three categories: road racing , off-road and tourist ... and guess what ... we were able to win in general and in the class OutLow - the most modified vehicles

the car is amazing: fast , strong, stiff but obedient ... obviously still a long way ahead of me before I learn to drive it

Very nice

Those dual pump fittings are silly prices but a nice addition.

Have you tried http://www.subaruwrcspares.com/1.html for second hand Prodrive kit?

Yes, I did contact them but they don't have much for group A, more like WRC stuff. I was looking on rallycarsforsale.net, I did contact prodrive, Bernard Munster... No reply

If you need any stuff fabricated contact Steve at:

SDW Light Fabrications Ltd. Telephone: 01248 600 552

He did a lot of fabricated stuff with Prodrive through the years such as cross members and suspension kit.

I didn't write for awhile, I have to make up.

In 2014 on the best rally In Poland, at the Barbórka rally, the driver himself was Krzystof Hołowczyc, first we took some tests and then he made the best show on this rally.

video from tests 1

video 2

How They did on stage

barrel

Once a year it turns into a real fighter with a dog gearbox, great Proltum rally suspension, Group A brakes and goes right before the best WRC drivers

.

Great build I got mine to restore after seeing Colin McRae driving his early scoobynet and knew I had to have one , 25 years later I'm now fulfilling that dream
